Project Overview
Niigaan Enaazhek is an ice-class, double-ended ferry designed to carry 36 vehicles and up to 150 passengers. It can break ice up to 24 inches thick, supporting year-round operation. The vessel is equipped with Voith Schneider Propellers (VSP), an advanced propulsion system that provides precise maneuverability and control in demanding maritime environments. Unlike conventional propellers, the VSP enables rapid thrust adjustments in any direction, making it well suited to frequent docking and operation in confined waters.
