Project Overview
“The River Willow” is a casino vessel built in accordance with USCG 46 CFR Subchapter T requirements for operation on Lake Sakakawea, a Missouri River reservoir near New Town, North Dakota. Because the vessel’s dimensions prevented conventional over-the-road transport, Lake Assault developed a modular construction strategy. The steel hull, steel main-deck superstructure, steel 01-deck superstructure, and aluminum 02-deck superstructure and hardtop canopy were fabricated as full-length, half-breadth modules suitable for highway transportation to the launch site. Lake Assault personnel and trade partners assembled the modules on transportation and alignment fixtures before final painting, outfitting, and crane launch.
